As
the game goes on, from inning number one,
The
crowd is noisy, all the while just having fun.
The
teams that are on this field we see, that is made of grass and dirt,
With
players moving to and fro, in this wonderful sports concert.
Each
inning is played with hustle and desire,
Each
ball must be caught, each batter they must retire.
As
the game went past the sixth inning, and after that wonderful catch,
The
crowd anticipated what was next: The
Seventh Inning Stretch!
A
welcomed break from all the great action, a time to get some food,
A
time to relax and sing a song, during this tradition interlude.
This
magical moment ceases way too soon for me; I really hate to see it end.
But
this game of baseball is, was, and always will be. . .my friend.
