Making Memories
I met her one evening
as I visited a bar.
Her
at that end, me at this end…a distance not too far.
I told the bartender
to send her down a drink.
I waited for her to
glance my way, and then gave a little wink.
I found myself intrigued
by her midnight colored hair.
And then I started
strolling down the bar right towards her chair.
I introduced myself
to her, and she did speak her name.
And now the both of
us were playing this flirtatious little game.
Her hand brushed mine
and I noticed that mischievous smile.
I then returned that
gentle touch, but let mine linger for a while.
We both knew what was
going on, as we chatted well into the night.
Nothing else seemed
to matter then; it all just felt so right.
And when time came to
say goodbye, we did it with such ease.
That magic time we
had just spent…making memories.
